The Great Outdoors
This is the place where you can check out outdoor adventure, hikes, van life, and everything living a life with an air of freedom.
In my formative years I thought you had to go through and want the different stages in life. Do well in school, go to college, get a career, get a husband, have kids, buy a house, put your value in these things. So I did. I had the drive to get these things out of my life. I put in my time in the city, I put in my time in careers that made others look good through their terrible daily behavior.
When it all comes down to it, I want to spend more time outdoors. The world keeps on turning, and I have to find my solace. It isn’t in the 9-5. I think it’s nice to be able to engage the mind, stimulate and create, but, I also think that isn’t who I am. Who I am is a paddle boarder, a lover of all things that have to do with water. A taro card reader once told me that I was a goddess and water was my super element and I need to have my element in my life.
So I’ve pulled back. I’ve taken into consideration the difference between needs and wants and desires. I get to choose what I want in life, what gives me meaning, what my soul speaks to. Here are some of the things I’ve been looking into, and my soul is happy.
